Center for Disability Health and Wellness

Welcome from the University of Michigan Center for Disability Health and Wellness!

Our mission is to develop and apply innovative research, clinical, and educational strategies to address inequities in healthcare access, quality, and outcomes experienced by individuals with physical, sensory and developmental disabilities across the lifespan.

Our vision is of working in partnership with members of the disability community to ensure that all people, regardless of type or severity of disability, have full access to quality health care and to wellness activities personalized to their background, strengths and needs.

The IDEAL RRTC is pleased to announce a new series of free virtual events, to be hosted by one of our Community Partners, Detroit Disability Power.

The next event will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Eastern time via Zoom, with moderated panel discussions and breakouts for participants to engage. The topic for the second session will be "Growing up with a Disability". All will have auto captions and ASL interpretation. For more information and to register go to https://bit.ly/DDPCCSeries
