Welcome from the University of Michigan Center for Disability Health and Wellness!

Our mission is to develop and apply innovative research, clinical, and educational strategies to address inequities in healthcare access, quality, and outcomes experienced by individuals with physical, sensory and developmental disabilities across the lifespan.

Our vision is of working in partnership with members of the disability community to ensure that all people, regardless of type or severity of disability, have full access to quality health care and to wellness activities personalized to their background, strengths and needs.

Monthly Meetings

Join our April Monthly Meeting on Monday, April 17th, 2023 at 9:00am. We will welcome, Haylie Miller, PhD.  Dr. Miller is an Assistant Professor of Movement Science and the Director of the Motor & Visual Development Laboratory

Open Discussion Hour - NEW

Join us the 2nd Thursday of each month from 10-11am for our NEW Open Discussion Hour. 

This opportunity is great for student groups who wish to collaborate or share ongoing projects with the CDHW, medical students looking for insight into current CDHW projects, current members who would like to share ideas and anyone else who would like to share about existing projects they would like to collaborate on.
