This event aimed to explore the connection between the Disability Rights movement and Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s legacy. Michigan Disability Rights Coalition staff and CDHW community partner Tameka Citchen-Spruce opened with an introduction to the Disability Justice framework. Local community organizations discussed what it means to work with and for individuals with disability and how their work aligns with Disability Justice and Civil Rights.
