MI-SCIMS Presents: Adaptive Sports

Adaptive sports are competitive or recreational sports that use modifications of rules or equipment to allow for equitable participation in sports by people with disabilities. Participants of all ages and abilities can join, and there is a wide range of activities available to all. If you’ve ever been curious about joining the world of adaptive sports but are not sure where to start, this event is for you.

The CDHW had expert speakers from Michigan Medicine and the Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital who answered questions LIVE on Zoom and Facebook.

Jonathan VandenBerg, DO, Physiatrist, Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital will be serving as moderator.
