If a patient requests an ASL interpreter through the Disability Tab, does the request automatically go to Interpreter Services?

Integration of Disability Tab data with Interpreter Services is not yet available. Patients should contact their clinic to make sure that they are aware of the interpreter request. Clinic staff should: (1) enter the patient’s medical record in MiChart and select the Demographics tab, (2) indicate “Sign Language” in the Language field, and (3) indicate “Yes” in the Interpreter Needed field.
