Dr. Michelle Meade, Co-Director of the Center for Disability Health and Wellness provided the following in response to the article:

“We applaud [the authors’] statement and enthusiastically support their recommendations. Moreover, we would also advocate for a transparent accommodation process and centralized accommodations for individuals with disabilities. We also encourage the Executive Committee of the Medical School to provide such support and transparent processes for Michigan Medicine staff and faculty.”
